Islands of Bahamas

My husband and I are inveterate travelers. And we decided to spend our vacation in Nassau (it is the capital of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas). Bahamas is miles of sandy beaches protected by coral reefs; it is lagoons of transparent turquoise waters and green coconut palms. Numerous coral reefs, as well as ferruginous layers in the limestone create an unusually colorful picture of the underwater world. It is home to rare animals, so it is a real paradise for travelers. Islands are full of all kind of beach holiday. We especially enjoyed paragliding, water skiing and windsurfing. Most resort hotels include water sports in their services or offer them for a fee. The climate of the islands is a tropical, so the average temperature of winter months is 22-24 °C and of summer is 29-30 °C. The best period for visiting the country is a cool season from September to May, and we went to Nassau in April. Our impressions of this city are difficult to convey in words. It is a divine place really! And it’s not only the nature and the ocean. It is also the exotic meal of Nassau paradise island, which will seem you unusual, but very tasty. National food Bahamians are meals from clam conch. From the mollusk prepare appetizers, main dish salads. Chefs cook conch chowder with the addition of tomatoes, potatoes, sweet peppers, onions, carrots, bacon or bacon, bay leaf, thyme, pepper and salt. Some cooks add barbecue sauce and chicken meat. But the most expensive food in the Bahamas is the local spiny lobster.
Nassau, which is located on the island of New Providence, is connected by two bridges to Paradise Island. This is a place with everything for recreation and entertainment. Restaurants have the most diverse meal, night clubs, modern SPA-center. One of the attractions of Paradise Island is a unique aquarium in the open air in a natural lagoon. There is a transparent tunnel at the bottom. You can see tropical fish and sharks at close range walking on it. When we were in an aquarium, I thought I was on the ocean floor. At first I was a little scary, because the shark swam close to the tunnel. Then I got used to this situation and the fear disappeared. I began to enjoy the view of beautiful fish and marine animals and plants. It was so unusual that I could not believe I’m in the ocean! If you are going to the Bahamas, be sure to visit this fascinating aquarium. I think you’ll like it.
